The app still uses the volume steps provided by Android. It does not create extra volume levels for more precise adjustment, since that is a limitation of the Android system.

Accessibility Service

NoVolume needs Android’s Accessibility Service to work properly. This permission allows the app to detect volume button presses and display its custom volume slider over other apps.

The developer states that the accessibility service is not used to collect personal information or access personal data.
