Bottom notifications is an Android app that makes notifications easier to reach by moving them to the bottom of your screen. Instead of stretching your thumb all the way to the top every time an alert arrives, you can tap a floating button or swipe in from the screen edge to open the notification shade. It’s a simple idea, but it can be quite useful if you use a large phone or prefer using it with one hand.
The app also gives you plenty of ways to change how notifications work. You can customize the shade, set gestures, pin important alerts and create rules for handling notifications from different apps. There are even small animated cats and dogs that walk along the bottom of your screen. If you like adjusting every little detail, there’s a lot to explore here.
Key features:
- Bottom Notification Shade: Open and manage notifications from the bottom of your screen.
- Floating Button: Customize its appearance, colors, icons and animations.
- Notification Rules: Silence, snooze, dismiss or hold alerts based on your own conditions.
- Quick Actions: Copy codes, open links, call numbers, reply to messages and more.
- Gesture Controls: Use taps, swipes and edge gestures to perform actions or open apps.
- Lock Screen Access: Open the notification shade from the lock screen with the Pro features enabled.
- Themes and Animations: Choose from different layouts, themes and opening or closing effects.
- Extra Customization: Add widgets, music controls, screen lighting effects and animated pets.
- Privacy Options: The developer says notification data stays on your device, with no ads, trackers or analytics.
Bottom notifications is a good choice if the standard Android notification panel feels awkward to reach. It takes some time to explore all the settings, but you can start with the basic features and customize more later. It works on Android 10 and newer, with an optional one-time Pro purchase for extra features.
